Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kaiser Permanente.
Consultant
A recruiter reached out via email asking about how my experience matches the role and requested my resume to ensure it was a good fit.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Do you hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS, or a similar area?
- Do you possess at least three (3) years of experience in software development or a related area?
Consultant
I chatted with a hiring manager over the phone, talked to a recruiter, and went through two interview rounds. I ended up not hearing back from them after all that. The interviews had pretty standard questions, though it felt like they asked the same stuff in both sessions.
- Tell me why you're interested in working at Kaiser.
Consultant
It was a multi-stage interview process. I had a phone interview, then a panel interview, then an interview with the executive medical team, and some one-on-one interviews. The panel interview had a standard 'get to know you' part, a behavioral question section (like 'tell me about a time when...'), a consulting case study they provided, and a presentation I had to prepare. The whole thing took a while, but they were good about keeping me updated and responding to my emails and calls.
- What makes you the best choice among the applicants?
- What actions will you take during your first 90 days in this position?
- How will you manage your workload across multiple clients?
