I first met the recruiter at a resume review event on campus. She stayed in touch and set me up to interview with several managers across different program tracks. The entire process spanned three months, from March until late May when I finally got the offer. The initial stage was a phone interview with the recruiter, which was challenging due to scenario-based questions. The subsequent one-on-one interviews focused primarily on my background and work history, assessing my personality and performance fit for the company.

Sent my resume late one night and got a reply the next morning from the recruiter. They sent a questionnaire which I completed and returned the same day. The next morning, the recruiter contacted me again to discuss salary expectations. They wanted me to come in the next day to interview with the LSA, but I couldn't make it due to personal reasons. Instead, I interviewed with their colleague and the department head at the same time. I felt the interview went really well, but I didn't hear back from the recruiter. I sent an email right after the interview to thank them and express my interest. A week later, I called again to thank them and explain why I was a good fit. Still no response. Two weeks after that, I emailed again with similar information, inquiring about a decision timeline. A week later, I received a generic email stating I was disqualified. The workplace seemed great – people were dressed casually and business casually, wearing headphones, and moving around the building. The building was very clean and had security at the entrance.

The whole interview process was coordinated through a consulting agency. First, a recruiter from the agency did a preliminary screening call. After that, my resume was sent straight to the hiring manager. About a week later, the hiring manager reached out to the recruiter to schedule an interview. The interview itself was pretty informal and only lasted about 20 minutes. Mostly, I just heard about the role and they didn't ask many questions. I got an offer the day after. The background check took a long time, about 3 weeks, because they needed to do a really thorough one.
