Business Development Director
It was average difficulty, but they really want you to focus on what you'll bring to the role. Make sure to clearly communicate that part. Also, clearly state the commercial impact you have had in your previous roles.
- How would you approach growing the Commercial Sector accounts, as it's a newer area compared to Public and Healthcare sectors?
- What unique contributions can you make to this role?
- Could you describe the commercial impact you've achieved in past positions?
Business Development Director
The process was initiated by a Kainos Talent Acquisition Lead (TAL) who contacted me on LinkedIn, as I hadn't applied for any roles. After confirming a couple of potential deal-breakers, I replied expressing interest and sent my Cover Letter & Resume. Following this, I messaged the TAL three times over three weeks without a response. Eventually, the TAL scheduled a call for the next day, which happened. After two more messages from me to the TAL, and another two-week wait, the TAL messaged that feedback was still pending from the hiring manager. This message arrived just after I got an automated Workday notification that Kainos would not be proceeding with my candidacy. I messaged the TAL back with the automated message, seeking clarification, and have now been ghosted for a week. I'm unsure if the issue lies with the TAL's communication frequency, the hiring manager's decision-making speed, the company's recruitment process, or something else, but their candidate treatment is quite disrespectful.
- What are your salary expectations?
Business Development Manager
First, I had an introductory call with recruitment for culture/fit (massive thank you to Sarah P, she was brilliant not only during the introductory call and between stages, but also during my notice period - keeping in touch and really making me feel part of the organisation before I had even started). Then, the 1st interview was a general 121 about my experience etc. The 2nd interview was a panel interview, and the 3rd and final interview stage was a presentation with Q&A.
- Tell me about your experience.
- How would you introduce a product or offering into the market?
