The interview process was pretty standard, maybe a bit on the easier side. It involved 3 rounds of remote interviews. No assignments or presentations were needed. I spoke with both my future colleagues and the hiring manager. There wasn't an interview with someone above the hiring manager.

I had a panel interview with more than 5 people on the call. I had to give a presentation on the take-home assignment I was given. It was pretty disappointing because while I was presenting, people were coming in and out of the camera and I could see them taking notes on my presentation. It was obvious why they had a take-home assignment. I got an offer but declined because of this behavior. It wasn't a good look for the company.

Technical Presentation

I went through a quick 4 round interview process, and then I was brought in for an in-person "brainstorm." About an hour after the in-person meeting, I got a call with a verbal offer, including a start date, salary, and benefits. They said the official offer letter would come later that day. Then they said the offer letter would come after they contacted my references. My references were never contacted. The week after the verbal offer, they rescinded it with barely any explanation in a really casual email. I've never been treated so impersonally in a hiring process.

Behavioral Technical

I was invited for interviews with quick turn arounds and prepped for three interviews with the team over the course of a week. After the third interview, I received a generic email saying I was no longer being considered for a position. It contained no information about the position I was rejected for, so I emailed my contact at the organization. They responded with “moving in a different direction”. Position was reposted almost immediately with the same job description, but added under desired skills, “add to our culture”.
