Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at K-Designers.
Sales Representative
It was a comfortable and friendly interview, typical for an outside sales job. We mostly discussed classes, training, territories, and the company. They mentioned a lot of travel is involved. I'll be having more interviews. This seems like it has a lot of travel.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience and your willingness to travel for this role?
Sales Representative
I was emailed by someone interested in my resume and we set up an online interview for 10 a.m. When I joined the online meeting, I was put in a queue with 4 other candidates. It looked like we were going to watch some kind of informational video. I waited for over 15 minutes, but while doing so, I looked up their reviews and they were not good. So, I removed myself from the call and gave them my feedback. Everyone's time is valuable, and if it was going to be a group meeting, they should have said so upfront. If I was going to possibly wait for 15-20 minutes for a scheduled 30-minute interview, they should have let me know. Lesson learned: always research a company before putting effort into applying for a position.

Sales
I received a call and was asked about myself and my work history. I mentioned my 20 years as a manager and owner in construction. The recruiter then asked me to meet the regional manager the next Monday, and to wear a tie. I did some research on the company afterwards, and it doesn't seem like a strong opportunity.
- Can you tell me about your background?
