Behavioral Other

When I got to the parking lot, I was supposed to call the recruiting coordinator to open the gates, but they didn't answer after three tries. A stranger had to let me in. Inside, no one greeted me, and the sign-in iPad wasn't there. I had to ask an employee for help. It was funny because the job is about candidate experience, but mine didn't start well. The interviewers were nice. Three out of five could make it, so I talked with three people. One interview was tough and the questions didn't seem entry-level. People are nice, but it feels like a startup where things get hectic and forgotten.

Behavioral Presentation

It started off with a phone screen, then another phone screen with someone not in the office, and finally an on-site interview. It was pretty interesting. No interviewer asked the same questions. Everything was about conflict resolution, relationship building and dealing with requests and your ambitions after completing the role after one year. My only gripe was that I was pretty uncomfortable not being able to interview in a conference room and had to sit next to the team the entire time in a pod.

Behavioral Technical

I applied online and heard back in about a week. They invited me for a phone interview. The interviewer called me 10 minutes late and it was clear they hadn't looked at my resume beforehand. They were trying to copy and paste my skills section. The interview lacked structure, with awkward pauses because the interviewer was multitasking. I could hear their baby in the background, implying they were working from home, which was fine, but the whole interview felt disorganized. It's ironic that recruiters, who are supposed to shape the candidate experience, can be aloof and disengaging. This interviewer also lacked the organization crucial for recruitment. I felt very uncomfortable and it was one of my worst interview experiences. It's only been a week and I haven't heard back, but I'm no longer interested.
