It was a phone screen with the recruiter, then 2 interviews with the engineering lead and hiring manager. It ended with an onsite with a case study deliverable, presentation, and workshop facilitation. The onsite was tough, not because of product skills though. The prep email said they'd read the presentation, but it didn't seem like it. One interviewer asked so many questions, it was hard to finish on time. They took notes and whispered while I presented. When I asked about in-office policies at the end, that same interviewer wouldn't answer. I really liked talking to engineering and the hiring manager, but the onsite made me feel really disrespected.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation Group

So there were 5 rounds total. First was a 30 min HR screen, then a 30 min chat with an engineering manager, followed by a 30 min meeting with a group PM. After round 3, I got this take-home assignment which was a case question, and I had to submit my write-up 48 hours before the next step, which was the onsite. The onsite was 75 minutes, split into a 20 min case presentation, 10 mins for Q&A, and a 45 minute 'workshop' where I had to create an MVP on the spot. The people in this round were new faces. The final round was with the VP of product. The whole process felt super messy and weird. They never told me what specific product role or team I was interviewing for, even when I asked multiple times. They just kept saying 'it doesn't matter' since it's a 'shared pipeline'. I put in a ton of time and effort, passed all the rounds, got an office tour after being invited onsite, and then got a generic rejection email 3 days later. The rejection email even had 'TEMPLATE' where the job role should have been. It's pretty wild, especially for a company that makes HR software. I can only imagine how they'd treat employees if they actually hired them.

Behavioral Presentation Case

Got a message on LinkedIn from a recruiter. Had a 30-minute screening call and then went straight to the next stage. Then a behavioral interview with the Hiring Manager where I had to pick a project and go deep on it. After that, it was a presentation and live case study round with a panel of senior tech leaders. For this, I had to pick a project again and present it. Then there was a generic unseen case study where I had to come up with ideas on the spot. I didn't really like the format of that last interview and decided not to continue further.
