Account Executive
Good interview process questions plus video at the end. I ended up using the STAR method, which is a great way of answering and setting you up for success. I would brush up on Jump Crew's history and culture to get an idea of the company. I thought it was a good interview process. I reached out to people on LinkedIn to get a feel for the interview beforehand.
- Could you tell me about your previous work experience?
Account Executive
I had a first phone call with the recruiter. Then, I had an interview for the AE position less than 24 hours later, while I was also working at night. I didn't have much time to prepare. The interview seemed unorganized and like the questions were made up on the spot, though I thought it went well on my end. The interviewer sounded rushed because she had another meeting, which didn't help. After that, I received no communication. I sent an email thanking them and highlighting more of my skills and why I'd be a good fit, but got no response. I got an automated email saying I didn't make it, which was fine, so I emailed them saying I'd be happy to start as a BDR. No response. I also emailed asking for advice on what I could have done better. No response. Based on reviews, it seems like I may have dodged a bullet, with issues like salary reductions for current employees and management treating people poorly.
- Can you explain how you manage your sales pipeline?
- When you're falling behind at work, what skills do you use to catch up?
- Walk me through your process for handling objections.
Account Executive
The interview process had three parts. They sent a job offer, but after I signed, they said they didn't have a spot for me to start on the date we agreed on. They said it was possible I could start later, but with no guarantee because they "didn't have the money to bring someone on without another team opening." I've never experienced anything this unprofessional. Stay far away from them. They clearly see people as numbers and don't care about you turning down other offers only for them to backtrack after you sign. Maybe next time, don't send an offer until you're sure you can follow through???
- How do you handle customer objections?
