Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Julius Baer.
Intern
The interview process consisted of two rounds. The first round was a classical behavioral interview conducted online via Zoom, where they asked typical questions about your CV, your interest in finance, and your motivation for this specific position. The second round involved a more technical case study.
- What makes you want to work in the Office of the CFO?
Intern
The interview was smooth and had 2 rounds, managed well by HR. A case study was assigned 5 days before the interview. After that, I got feedback on my work and had to justify it.
- Walk me through your process and your presentation of the case study.
Intern
It felt like a casual conversation, very welcoming HR. It began with you introducing yourself, then they asked some follow-up questions about your interest in the bank and in finance. It was more like networking than a formal interview. My suggestion is to show enthusiasm, as they seem to look for really social individuals. Good luck!
- What makes you want to work in finance, and specifically at Julius Baer?
- Why the finance industry?
- Why Julius Baer?
