First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Juicy Couture.
Sales Associate
I went to Juicy Couture and filled out an application for a part-time Sales Associate job. While I was still out and about at the mall, they called me back about 20 minutes after I had left the store. They asked if I could come in the next day for an interview. My interview was scheduled for 4:30pm, but I checked in at 4:20pm to show them I was serious about the job. The supervisor greeted me warmly, as did the other staff. She took me to an empty dressing room for the interview, which was a little odd, but I guess they don't have an office. We sat down and started right away. She had a clipboard with about five questions.
- What magazines do you read?
- Describe Juicy Couture in three words.
- How would you handle a difficult customer situation?
Sales Associate
I got an application at the store and turned it in early in the week. The very next day, I got a call to set up an interview, but nobody told me it would be a group interview. I went in at the end of the week, and there were five other people interviewing too. The manager started us off with some icebreaker questions. After that, I didn't get an offer even though I had the most experience out of everyone there, with previous retail and customer service work, a college degree, and being bilingual, which is a big plus in San Diego. The staff seemed nice, but I did notice a lack of diversity and would like to see more people of color working there.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- Can you describe your previous retail or work experience?
- What motivates your interest in working at Juicy?
Sales Associate
It was a two-step interview process. The first step involved meeting with three other candidates where the assistant and store manager asked us behavioral questions. It was fun, and only two of us moved on. The second interview was more of a confirmation that I got the job, where they discussed the requirements and dress code. The expectation is to look "Juicy," which means dressing in a style that fits the brand, being well-presented, and focusing on sales.
- What makes you want to be employed by Juicy?
