Technical Case

The interview was good because it was analytical and scenario based. It was a bit harder than average but not too difficult. There were 3 rounds: a screening, a technical interview, and a VP level interview. The VP interview initially felt a bit challenging, but it turned out to be easy because the VP was very generous.

Technical Behavioral

The interview process started with a telephonic round. This was followed by a full-day interview at the JSW campus, which included an aptitude test, two technical rounds, and an HR/Senior Management round. The final stage was a medical checkup on the last day. During the second day's technical rounds, one interviewer spoke in Hindi, and when I asked to switch to English, I was threatened with removal from the position. Despite passing the medical, I was ultimately removed from the job without any explanation.

Confirmed questions1 question

Technical Behavioral

I had an interview with one of the HoD of JSW. Initially, they asked some basic Engineering questions. Then, they moved on to material science questions related to steel, covering fundamental concepts like the types of iron ore and the iron-carbide diagram. They also inquired about my previous internships during my bachelor's degree. There were no HR-specific questions; their main goal was to assess if I had a foundational understanding of engineering.
