QA Engineer
It was a 3 round interview process. The first round was with the QA Engineer, where we discussed more about the role and my fitness for it. The second round was with the QA Head, which was a technical round. The third round was with HR.
- What makes you want to apply for this job?
Software Developer
It was a video call with 2 seniors from the team. Red flags appeared immediately when they ignored my greeting and chatted amongst themselves for 2 minutes. Then came a formal Q&A about my experience, with them looking bored. This suggests issues with the company, a shame they send inexperienced people to the first stage. This is a red flag regardless of benefits or salary. After 50 minutes, I asked for a short break to ask my own questions about the company. The interviewer seemed surprised and wanted to continue with more questions. I explained my 3 brief questions would help me understand if the company is a good fit and save everyone time. My main question was about the remote working policy, which was met with 'hmms' and 'that's not our department.' I asked about existing staff in my situation and the policy for them, and the response was 'That's a valued employee.' Overall, a poor interview. When I said the position wasn't for me and wished them luck, they seemed shocked and wanted me to continue the questions to see if I qualified for a second stage.
- Tell me about your experience with different Databases.
- What is your skill level in mentoring Junior members of staff?
- Can you provide an instance where you helped a new team member acclimate to the work environment?
IT Help Desk Technician
It's a 3 step process. First, a phone call with the Supervisor to check your basic troubleshooting skills. If that goes well, you'll have an in-person interview with the head IT Manager. They'll explain the job more and ask about your history, dreams, and what you want to achieve. If you get through that, the final stage is a tough interview with the Director and CTO. They'll grill you on IT stuff, life, your ambitions, education, and go through your resume, asking for specific examples of your successes and failures.
- What steps would you take to troubleshoot a user's printing issue over the phone?
- Can you tell me about your previous experience, aspirations, and goals?
- Please provide examples of times you've succeeded and times you've failed in your past jobs.
Quality Assurance Specialist
The interview was scheduled for 45 minutes but only lasted 30 minutes with a 2-member panel on Teams. One interviewer was the manager and the other was an automation team member. I did not receive any feedback even after 2 months.
- Could you please introduce yourself and elaborate on your professional background?
- Can you share an example of a time you were involved in improving a process?
