Marketing Assistant
So I was offered a job and was super stoked to join the marketing team. But before I could accept, I sent them a counteroffer since their listed hourly wage was a range. The hiring manager asked for another video chat to talk more, so I gave them my availability. After 3 days with no response, I followed up, and still nothing. I then reached out to another marketing manager, and still no response. It turns out, 10 days later, they changed their job description from $18-$25 to just $18/hour. It felt like they just didn't want to deal with me and didn't even have the decency to explain they couldn't offer more or formally withdraw the offer. I put a lot of time and effort into this for a company that clearly doesn't value people. If you like inconsiderate, unprofessional people with awful communication, go for it. Also, they're super unorganized – sending me Slack and Google Drive access before I even accepted, and the hiring manager wasn't even sure if I'd been contacted. They just don't know what they're doing.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Marketing
It was a pretty chill interview. The person I spoke with was really nice and easy to talk to. Honestly, it wasn't tough at all. They mostly asked about what I did in college, my previous jobs, why I wanted this gig, and how I could help with their marketing. We also chatted about the job itself and what it involves. I got an offer at the very end.
- Tell me about your involvement in campus organizations.
- What's your understanding of JoyRun?
- How will your prior work experience be beneficial for this role?
Marketing Assistant
I applied online and then got scheduled for a phone interview after a few days. They asked me about my previous experiences and for clarifications about the position. The interviewer was very polite and the interview lasted about half an hour.
- Can you tell me about the organizations you're involved in and your level of activity on campus?
- What led you to apply for this specific internship?
- Could you elaborate on your involvement in various organizations and your campus activity levels?
