Senior Software Engineer
The process was straightforward and everyone I interacted with was really pleasant. They kept me updated throughout and provided prompt, helpful feedback after each stage.
- Could you tell me about your greatest strength?
Software Engineer
A few days after applying, I had a phone call with the recruiter. We discussed compensation, which I found premature, and benefits, where I learned they don't offer 401(k) matching. A few days later, I had a technical screening via video call with three engineers. Although I thought it went well, most engineers turned off their video and muted themselves. During the Q&A, the engineers seemed to struggle with standard questions like "what do you like about working here." They also mentioned a dichotomy in company culture, with positive feedback for engineering but not other departments. I received a standard rejection email a week later. The fast process was a plus as it helped me move forward with another offer.
- Can you describe what you like about working here?
- Can you tell me about the company culture?
- A basic Coderpad Python question.
Software Engineer
I had an initial 30-minute call with Vishal, the Director of Talent, where we discussed my timeline, tech stack, and background. About a week later, I had a 45-minute video interview via Google Meet with Derek, the CTO. He asked me technical and problem-solving questions. I heard back from the hiring team within 90 minutes to set up the next interview. Then, I went to the office for a 3-hour onsite interview with 6 people across 5 stages. This included a problem-solving session with whiteboard/pseudocoding, a coding/pair programming session, a culture interview with QA, a product interview with a PM, and a brief chat with the CEO Kristin. A couple of days after the onsite, I got an email requesting references, and the offer call happened a few days after that.
- Could you describe a challenging technical problem you faced?
