Summer Vacation Scheme
The online interview for the summer vac scheme 2026 happened on Microsoft Teams. It started with an online test, then references, and after that the interview. They asked a lot of questions about commercial awareness and current events.
- Can you discuss a commercial event you find interesting and explain its connection to our firm?
Summer Vacation Scheme
We started with a group meet and greet, then moved on to an individual case study exercise followed by a verbal presentation. After that, I had an interview with the partner I presented to. There was also a lunch break where I could chat with other candidates and employees, and we finished with a group debate.
- Should the UK get rid of its nuclear deterrent?
Summer Vacation Scheme
After submitting an online application, I was invited to participate in the next stage. This involved a 45-minute video call conducted via Zoom. The first 15 minutes were spent speaking with a current trainee, and the subsequent 30 minutes were with two partners. The conversation was more free-flowing and less like rapid-fire questions. The discussion with the trainee was mainly a chance for me to ask about their experiences at the firm.
- Can you describe the typical tasks a trainee lawyer would handle?
- Could you share an example of a time when you performed effectively as part of a team?
