The interview process started with a screening interview, followed by a phone interview. Then there was a background check. After that, there was a job position skill assessment and a written and actual test where I was asked to give examples of good communication service, how to maintain a store, and how to provide good quality of service.

Applied online and passed the assessment. Then had an initial HR interview and passed it. I was told to wait for an email for the final interview schedule. But instead, I got an email saying my application would be put on file. I understand this if I failed the assessment or initial interview, but I passed both. There was no reason to put my application on file without a final interview. I'm upset because I wasn't given a chance to prove my capabilities through a final interview, especially since I'm not applying for a managerial position, but a management trainee role. It feels unfair. Whoever turned down my application after I passed both the assessment and initial interview, I hope your manager sees this review and notices you have bad staff who didn't have any valid reason to turn down an applicant who, by all accounts, passed the assessment and initial interview. Bad recruitment process.

The whole interview process takes about a month. There was a technical interview that was pretty chill, mainly discussing my background, professional values, and achievements. I think the Recruiter and HRBP had to align on the budget. The Recruiter initially mentioned my salary expectations could be met, but the final offer was considerably lower than anticipated given my years of industry experience.

I had an interview with the team leader, and thankfully I got accepted! After that, I had to do all the onboarding paperwork, like filling out forms and signing stuff. Once that was done, I officially started as a trainee. We wore white shirts to show we were trainees. The training involved both learning in a classroom and doing things hands-on to get good at the job. It was a bit tough but also exciting because I wanted to do well and help the team.

  • What is your level of patience?
  • Can you commence employment without delay?
