Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson.
Design Engineer
The process went really well, actually. The interview was quite easy, with mainly basic questions.
- What makes you want to work for JMT?
- How do you think this job aligns with your career goals?
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Design Engineer
I had a 30 minute online interview with a Senior Engineer and the Vice President. Mostly asking review questions about my resume and skills. I had a second in-person interview to further discuss qualifications, meet the team, and see the office.
- Can you discuss your coursework and the programs you've learned?
Project Engineer
Interview was conducted by a team of 3 people. They were very courteous. Asked me to walk through my resume. Apparently they were expecting to meet a person with a different profile. Didn't know why they were asking me about stuff that I clearly mentioned I have no interest in doing during telephone interview. May be an over sight. But, the company seems to be a good company and felt pretty comfortable with the staff.
- Can you provide an overview of your resume?
- Could you discuss your experience with design?
