Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Johns Manville.
Mechanical Intern
Had a phone interview first, then another interview over zoom. It was alright. The phone interview asked a few questions along the lines of 'why do you want to work here' while the video interview went more in-depth on manufacturing methods and if you have a basic idea of how an assembly line works.
- Are you familiar with the company's motto?
Intern
The interview process was on the longer side, starting with an application, then a first interview, and finally three on-site interviews all on the same day. Despite the length, everyone I met was super nice, and the Littleton site was pretty cool to see after the interviews. Each person I spoke with had their own unique questions, though many were pretty standard. The interviewers seemed genuinely enthusiastic about sharing information about Johns Manville and showcasing their products. Overall, it was a long but enjoyable experience.
- Can you describe a time you encountered a team problem and how you approached solving it?
Intern
They will tell you how the internship is structured and you will receive feedback. Make sure you have prior experience and say what you think separates you from others. You will be asked about your prior experience.
- What separates you from others?
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- What makes you stand out from other candidates?
