I found this job on LinkedIn and a recruiter called me about two weeks later. We chatted about the role and my background. Because I was visiting DC that weekend, they were able to schedule an interview for me right after I landed. The regional director gave me a tour, and we had a long conversation about my life experiences. He shared his story and explained the company's compensation and promotion structure. I also spoke with someone currently in the role about her daily work and job satisfaction, including details about office social events. They then asked me to do a second interview on Monday morning since I was only in town until then. For this, I had to prepare a 5-minute sales pitch about the company, using provided fact sheets and some of my own research. I even made a PowerPoint. The interview started with my pitch to two new employees. They didn't offer much feedback, but I felt it was to gauge my presentation and sales abilities. Afterward, I spoke with each of them individually. One was very encouraging, discussing common job pitfalls and a path to success with tips she learned. The other was more direct, emphasizing the job's demanding nature and the need for hard work, which I felt was a standard way to ensure candidates are serious about the role. Finally, the regional director did a quick wrap-up chat. He mentioned I'd hear back within two weeks, and I actually got the offer just four days later. The official offer came by email a few days after that, and I accepted three days later. The entire process was efficient, and I really liked everyone I met and was excited about the job's challenges.

They reached out to me after seeing my resume on careerbuilder.com. Instead of scheduling a separate phone interview, they jumped right into asking me questions during the initial call. We talked for about half an hour, and then I was scheduled for an in-person meeting. That interview was pretty straightforward; I talked a bit more about myself, and then the interviewer mostly just described the job. The third interview involved three key people from the office, and it wasn't very clearly explained beforehand. They sent over some reading material to help prepare, but it was useless because they asked questions that weren't covered in it. My advice is to avoid saying 'I don't know' to any questions; instead, just make something up convincingly – that's how I ended up getting the job.

I applied online on LinkedIn... there was an initial interview over the phone where they asked why I was interested in the job and explained the position. I was then invited for an interview where I met with manager #1 and then manager #2. After these interviews, I was asked to come in for a second interview a few days later, which was also a sales presentation. I was sent a power point with company information. Instead of 'presenting' anything, I had a second interview with manager #2 and then another interview with a third manager. After all these interviews, I was kept in a room for about 15-20 minutes and then they told me to wait a week for their contact. It's been a week and I haven't heard back. Overall my experience was OK, they explained the position in great detail (they're very good sales people). I was excited to work there, and I received highly positive feedback from the managers regarding my interviews. I believe they have chosen another candidate, which is fine; however, I would have appreciated at least an email stating they chose someone else after all the work and time I put into it. For this reason, I rate my overall experience as negative.
