Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jobsity.
Software Engineer
After initial recruiter contact, there's a four-stage process. First, a soft skills interview with the recruiter to discuss your experience and English level. Then, you're given a coding challenge to complete within a week. After a technical reviewer assesses your code, the recruiter provides feedback and a salary offer. If the salary is agreed upon, you move to the final step: an interview with the client, where discussions vary by client; in my case, it focused on the coding challenge and my approach to it.
- Can you describe your skillset and what role you envision for yourself within a company, such as frontend, backend, or fullstack?
Software Developer
The interview process was pretty straightforward and fair, much like what you'd expect. First, there's a recruiter chat about your tech background and experience. Then, a tech screening where I got some Data Structure and Algorithm problems. After that, they give feedback on your technical exercise. Depending on your profile and experience, you might not even have a tough technical evaluation, or you might not pass this stage. If you do well in that fourth step, you'll get an offer confirmation and then have an interview with the client they've matched you with.

Software Engineer
The hiring process really drags on. I went through two recruiter screenings and then a HackerRank assessment which wasn't too tough. They extended a preliminary offer, getting me into their candidate pool to find a suitable project. However, the project search is taking ages – it's been over two months, and I'm still waiting. I'm doubtful I'll actually be hired despite the pre-offer because they seem quite disorganized.
- Can you tell me about your understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles?
- What are your thoughts on the SOLID principles of object-oriented design?
- What design patterns are you familiar with?
