The interview process was quite comprehensive, with a significant focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). It involved completing a task and participating in two group interviews where there were ample opportunities to ask questions.

Behavioral Technical

Applied online, had a quick phone screening, and then two in-person interviews. It was really inefficient getting back to me. The phone interview got rescheduled, and so did the first in-person one. After they asked me for a final round, I had to chase them up after a week of giving them my availability. Got to the final round and it felt like there was a big disconnect from the previous rounds, and they weren't really prepared, though I wasn't super prepped either. Had to follow up a month after the final round to find out I was rejected. The whole organization seemed a bit disorganized, so it's probably for the best.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The process kicked off with a standard initial phone chat, followed by a performance task. Then came a panel interview with some staff members, and the final round was with the hiring manager. The whole thing spanned about six weeks. The interviews themselves were pretty average, but what really stuck with me was how they let their finalists know they went with someone else. After the three interviews, the time-consuming performance task, and all the back-and-forth emails with the interview schedulers and the hiring manager, the hiring manager couldn't even be bothered to send me a personal note, let alone a call, as one of the final candidates. Instead, the rejection email came from the person who scheduled the interviews, who didn't even work for JFF but for some recruiting company. It's really disheartening, unprofessional, and incredibly short-sighted. Given we're in the same sector, share networks, and professional circles, the hiring manager's handling of this reflects poorly on JFF. I'm not sure if this is how JFF operates generally, but I'm glad I dodged a bullet. I wouldn't want to work for a place that treats people with such disrespect. This was an appalling way to handle things.
