The technical support interview process usually kicks off with a screening, either online or over the phone, to check if you've got the basics down and are interested in IT. If you make it through that, you'll have an interview, either in person or virtually, with someone from the staff or a career counselor. During this chat, they'll ask about your computer skills, how you tackle problems, and your customer service background. You might also get a quick technical test to see what you know about hardware, software, and fixing things. It wraps up with a chat about what training is like, when you can work, and what happens next if they want to hire you.

Got hired for a job with really low pay and no chance of raises. They didn't tell me about extra job duties beyond what was in the description, like the fact that it's a 9-hour day, a 12-month year instead of 10, and that there are no cost of living increases. Promotions seem to be based on who they like, not on merit or how long you've been there. Management is passive-aggressive and they expect us to clean the center ourselves to avoid hiring custodians. They have an attitude that 'everybody is replaceable.' Also, male trade instructors get paid double what female NY State certified academic instructors make. I was hired under many false pretenses.

The interview process was interesting enough as there was a process. I did get the job so it is effective. These steps are a brief description of my personal experience: the first was a prompt call back from HR after submitting my application online. Then we cordially met for an introduction on the position. As well going over benefits and potential pay raises. Then step 2 was to interview with the head of my particular position's department. There was significant delay between these steps. During the interview with my department manager the conversation led to a more in-depth look at the job description, scheduling, training and general organization of office for efficient operation. Steps 3 was meeting finally with the Center Director who's ultimate decision it was to hire any and all employees. It went well. It wasn't an agonising process just long. And driving back and forth to be scheduled to meet with right people. So the last call came from my department manager who met with the Center Director after our chat and congratulated me with the wonderful news I'd gotten the job! All in all, it was a kind of overwhelming process to go through only because it was around a month and a half for from applying and to getting the job!

I submitted my resume on Indeed and got a call pretty quickly asking me to interview the very next day. When I arrived, I had to fill out a ton of paperwork. First, I chatted with someone from corporate HR, which went really well. Then, I met with the Director. That part didn't go as smoothly; she asked really vague questions that were hard to answer. When I asked for more info to understand what she was looking for, she just gave another vague response. After leaving her office, I don't think I'll get an offer. They're not deciding on a candidate until next week.
