It took them weeks to get back to me after I applied. They had me complete a lengthy social media packet before they reached out to schedule an interview. I was initially told it would be a 30-minute 1-on-1, but it ended up being over an hour and involved two separate interviews. One interviewer was really nice, but the other was quite passive-aggressive about my past work, repeatedly remarking on how my experience at a smaller company might not translate to their 'billion dollar company.' It felt like she hadn't even seen my resume, even though it had been over two months since I first applied. This interviewer also couldn't answer basic questions I had about their target market or their social media goals. After stringing the process out for more than two months, I never heard back after the interviews. Definitely one of the worst interview experiences I've had, though I feel like I probably dodged a bullet given this seems to be typical behavior for them.

I don't usually do these reviews but I felt compelled to share this one. The interview process started off pleasant with a recruiter call that went great. They were very persistent about setting up a second interview even though I mentioned I wasn't keen on a hybrid model. When I went in for the second interview, they praised my portfolio and skills, especially my passion project app. The next day, however, I received feedback saying they weren't moving forward, and the reasons they gave felt strange and contradictory to what they had previously praised about my portfolio and app. It felt like they were looking for excuses.

A recruiter first contacted me. After I got a feel for the company and said I was interested, I was sent some questions to see how well I understood the Product Owner role in an agile setting. A phone screen happened a few days later and lasted an hour. Then, about two weeks after the phone screen, I went in for an onsite interview. It was a six-hour event where I met with about six different groups of people, from the CTO down to the folks I'd be managing. We also had lunch together offsite and I got a tour of the place.

It was a job fair, I filled out an application on a computer and then met with the manager. They asked me basic sales questions and why I'd be good for the position. Then I had an in-person interview that was pretty low-key. It seems like they hire most people, but there's a strict background check. The whole process was easy and simple, it was an off-the-street job fair they often have.
