First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JetBlue.
Customer Service Representative
The interview process includes a group interview followed by a 3-month training period with numerous exams and quizzes. Strict attendance policies are enforced. The starting pay is $15, and flight benefits are provided. You will continuously receive certifications and undergo many training sessions. Health insurance, vision, and 401k are offered to full-time employees.
- Can you share an instance of a difficult customer interaction and how you resolved it?
Customer Service Representative
The interview process isn't too tough if you've worked in customer service before or are just a people person. It usually involves the typical questions about how you'd handle certain situations or calls. While experience in the travel industry is a plus for interviews, it's not a strict requirement.
- How would you deal with a customer who is angry?
- Tell me about a time you had to handle a difficult customer.
- Describe how you would manage a call of a specific nature.
Customer Service Agent
Jet Blue does group interviews. They divided everyone into 2-3 groups and interviewed them. The interviewers were HR/Recruiter, Manager & a Supervisor. I wanted to be in the manager's group because I thought she would ultimately make the decision. I may have been right, because I was chosen for the next round. The downside to these interviews is that they drug test everyone, and have lots of people come for the fingerprinting so you have no idea where you stand until they let you know. If they are only hiring at small airports for 1 person this can be a waste of your time.
- Why are you the best fit to be a Jet Blue employee?
