Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JetBlue.

The whole process took about 3.5 weeks. The first round was with a recruiter, asking standard behavioral questions. The second round was with a manager and it was really weird. They showed up 15 minutes late AND took a phone call during the interview. (I would have left for any other company, but this was my dream company). I got an auto-rejection email with no feedback two weeks later. In retrospect, it feels like I wasn't even taken seriously and I wonder what was really going on.
- Can you share an instance where you overcame a challenge?
- Describe a situation where you had to deal with an angry customer or coworker.

This was an intense process... I went through 5 rounds and spoke with 7 different people. First, a 15-minute chat with HR about my resume, background, and salary expectations. Then, a 45-minute interview with the Hiring Manager. After that, there were three 30-minute interviews where I met with a Senior Analyst, two Project Managers, and another Hiring Manager. The next step involved two 30-minute interviews with a different Hiring Manager and the Director of the team. Finally, a 15-minute wrap-up call with HR to conclude the interview process, including 3 behavioral questions and a discussion about salary expectations.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in this particular team and JetBlue?
- Reflecting on your past experiences flying with JetBlue, could you share some positive feedback and also areas for improvement?
- What makes you a good fit for this role based on your qualifications?

So I had 8 interviews in total. It started with a general phone screen with Talent Acquisition. Then I had 2 interviews with the manager of the team - the first one was a SQL coding assessment and the second one was a mock case study. After that, I had 3 interviews with managers of related teams (Airline Optimization Horizons, Crew Planning, Crew Resources). These were mostly personality and introduction interviews, and then more case studies about general aviation and airline industry knowledge. Then I interviewed with the Director of Airline Optimization, going through another case study related to the team. Finally, there was an interview with a panel of current analysts, where they asked a few behavioral questions.
- What makes you want to join JetBlue?
- What interests you about working in the airline industry?
- Specifically, what draws you to the Airline Optimization team?
