Applied through an agency recruiter. It was a two stage process (screening & competency based interview). Phone screening was more to get to know me and my interest in the role. Also asked briefly about me current experience. This is really just to see if you meet the requirements of the job and also see your interest in the role. This was done by the hiring manager, and she was very lovely throughout. Final stage was a competency based interview face to face in the office. This was a fantastic experience as I was made to feel relaxed and at ease throughout the interview. I was asked to talk through my CV and then asked a variety of competency questions before getting a tour of the office.

Presentation Behavioral

The interview process was quite competent. It involved a 3-person panel and a presentation, followed by general questions. I've learned about the company and its processes. They seemed very interested and got me in quickly. The office looks modern but a bit dated with everyone dressed formally, even in non-client-facing roles. Lots of company-branded fleeces were visible. The job itself wasn't inspiring; there were over two hundred pieces waiting, suggesting high turnover. The main issue seems to be the 40-hour work week, which is unusual. They advertise an 'early finish' but it's misleading. You work 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily (8.5 hours), totaling 34 hours by Thursday. By law, you can only work until 2:30 PM on Friday. This isn't an early finish, just working your hours. I dislike companies that misrepresent things. They claim to champion flexibility and modern working, but there's no real flex, no working from home, and set hours once you start. This issue is noted in many reviews. I'm unsure how Jet2 expects to attract top talent with this approach. This information made me cautious during the interview, and I ultimately told the recruiter I'd decline an offer. Good luck to Jet2, they'll need it.

The interview process included an online screening followed by a face-to-face interview. The questions in the face-to-face part were quite general and didn't really probe deep into my knowledge. It felt more like it favored people who are good at talking rather than those with actual delivery experience. It was probably more about the day-to-day operations side of things than new development projects.
