First, I had a take-home coding test. Then there was a 1-day HR Screen. After that, I had three technical interviews: Tech 1 was 45 minutes focused on coding skills, Tech 2 was 45 minutes on system design, and Tech 3 was 45 minutes about general experience. Finally, there was a 60-minute Non-Tech interview to assess cultural fit.

So the interview process wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. The interviewers were actually super nice, especially the recruiter, and I think I would have liked working with them. My main issue was just that it took way too long. My first technical interview got rescheduled because something came up on the interviewer's end. Then, when we tried to do the coding part, the app didn't work, so we had to switch to Google Docs. Bugs happen, I get it, but I feel like that probably hurt my performance. Also, the interview ran way over time, which caused me to miss my next interview with AWS.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • There was a JavaScript take-home assignment.
  • The first technical interview involved some questions about React.
  • For the second technical interview, I was asked a question about a sorting algorithm.

The interview process was really well put together, and it felt like it covered all the important aspects for a software engineer role. First, there was a take-home assignment to check out your code quality. Then, two technical interviews that were like LeetCode problems, testing data structures. After that, I had a really interesting chat with the CTO about my problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Finally, I met with one of the founders, which was a great conversation. The recruiter was super helpful and kept in touch, and I appreciated that they asked for feedback after each stage, showing they cared about making the experience better for candidates. Jerry is a solid company to interview with, they do dig deep but it's for good reason.

We need a program to manage 'intensity' across different segments, which are basically intervals from negative to positive infinity. Could you implement functions to update the intensity for a specified range by a given integer amount? The initial intensity for all segments should be 0. Specifically, please implement these two functions: add(from, to, amount) and set(from, to, amount).
