First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jerry.
Intern
The interview process was two-step, starting with a recruiter call and then a call with the recruiting manager. I didn't get to the second round, but the entire process was remote via video call. The recruiter asked about my past experiences from both my education and previous jobs and how they would be beneficial for this role. It felt more casual than formal. At the end of the interview, she mentioned I'd be recommended to the hiring manager for a second interview, but then I got a rejection email a few days later, so I'm unsure what changed. The interview itself was pretty easy and casual, though the next step interview might have been more formal.
- In what ways does your education or prior work experience align with the requirements of the Recruiting Intern position?
Intern
The interview process has two stages, both are video calls. You'll talk with the direct manager and the team VP. They'll ask situational and experience-based questions. They are looking for smart people to join the team and want to see that you're a stand-out candidate and also a good team fit.
- Can you tell me about a marketing campaign that caught your eye?
- How do you handle stress from your workload?
Intern
Horrible experience. Interviewed for three rounds and even did a presentation. We were on to the background/reference check stage until the hiring manager added me ON SOCIAL MEDIA to discuss if I would like to work as an unpaid intern because there are "other competitive candidates". If you want to hire someone else, go ahead but don't exploit new grads and ask them to provide free labor. I was ghosted when asked for an update. JUST TELL THE CANDIDATE THAT THEY ARE REJECTED. Oh, and one of the hiring managers even crossed the line by asking where my parents are from and doubted my ability to work because I went to a "privileged highschool". WOW.
