The interview experience was quite unusual. I spoke with someone named Gaga who repeatedly asked about the specific calculation methods for my past job metrics, which I couldn't explain as I only knew I met or exceeded my goals. Even when I discussed my strengths and potential contributions to Jerry, she steered the conversation back to how metrics were calculated previously. I was left confused by the end of the interview due to these unexpected questions.
- Can you explain the methodology behind how your performance metrics were calculated in your prior role?

The process was very unprofessional. After passing a personality assessment, I was supposed to have an "information session." The person I was scheduled to meet with was present but had their camera and mic off. Instead, I was told I'd be meeting with someone else who immediately started asking interview questions. I was caught off guard because I thought I was just there to learn more about the company and the role before an actual interview. I was rejected, likely because I was flustered and stuttering. So, be aware that they do ask questions during the information session, and it impacts whether you get the job.
- Could you describe your past work experience?
- Tell me a bit about yourself.
- What are your aspirations within this company?

So I applied with no insurance background, but Jerry is super open to hiring anyone! The whole process was pretty fast, just about a week. It included three interviews, a shadow session, and an online assessment. First, I chatted with Kenney, my recruiter, who went over my resume, college stuff, and extracurriculars, plus the job basics. Then I took the online assessment. After that, I had the shadow session where they talked about the role's details and expectations, and the training plan. The second interview was with a sales manager, focusing on how my past jobs and education would fit into the role at Jerry. My final interview was with a founder, similar to the sales manager interview but more in-depth. After that, I got the offer! Everyone was really helpful and welcoming. I could ask questions at every stage, and Kenney kept me updated throughout.
- Tell me about the most difficult college course you took.
- How would your manager rate your job performance on a scale of 1 to 10, and what's the reasoning behind that rating?
- Is there a professional or academic choice you regret and would like to alter?
