Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jenner & Block.
Summer Associate
I interviewed at the firm for 20 minutes via their Off Campus Interview program. It was with one partner and one associate, and I also briefly spoke with the head of recruiting. They had clearly reviewed my resume carefully and pointed out specific parts at the start. They asked me to go through all my past job experiences chronologically and focused on the parts that might be relevant to their work.
- What draws you to transactional work?
Associate
It was a pretty chill interview process, and the partners seemed keen to just get to know me and my background. There were three meetings in total, and I also got to chat with some other associates before I had to decide whether to take the offer.
- What's motivating your move from your present company?
Summer Associate
A screener interview happened over Zoom a few days after I sent in my resume through my school. The interviewer was nice, but asked about a part of my resume I wasn't ready for!
- Can you elaborate on your research experience?
