So I had a phone screen, then a panel interview. After that, they gave me this "practise" assignment. It was basically building a whole project schedule from some data, documenting all my assumptions, and then changing it a few times for different scenarios. Honestly, it was a TON of work, mostly just data entry, not really showing off real PM skills. Then there was another panel interview where we talked about the schedule versions. After that, a crazy amount of paperwork, copying my resume into their system, sorting out references, and some talk about salary and start date. And then... just a quick 'we're not interested.' They didn't even check my references. Super frustrating, putting in so much effort for such a dismissive rejection.

This was by far the best interview experience I've had! About a week after my initial chat with the recruiter, I had a meeting with three people from the team. They all had different backgrounds and skills, but they were all super professional and genuine. The recruiter was really knowledgeable about the job and kept me in the loop. The entire process was smooth and well-organized. I wish more companies were this upfront. It was one of those rare times in the corporate world where honesty felt genuinely appreciated. Even though I would have loved to join, the timing wasn't right, so I didn't accept their offer.

Started with a preliminary phone screening with a Talent Acquisition Assistant on 7/15. Then 4 days later, had an MS Teams video interview with two director level hiring managers. The next day, they asked me to complete a project within 3 days. 5 days after that, I had an MS Teams video interview with three additional team members (two directors and one VP) to review the case study. 2 days later, I got the offer letter.
