First up is a quick 20-30 min phone chat with the internal recruiter. Then, there's a face-to-face interview that can run 1-2 hours, depending on how things flow, with the recruiter, two Directors, and the CEO. Finally, you'll need to do a presentation after about 1 hour of prep time, which will last at least 10 minutes, for the recruiter, two Directors, and the CEO.
- Why did you decide to get into recruitment?
Associate Consultant
Got an email from an assistant who found my resume on monster. Asked if I was interested and to send in my most updated resume. After sending my resume, I got a personality and IQ test, which I completed. The next day, I was contacted about a phone interview and we set it up for the same day. During the call, she asked me questions, and everything seemed great. At the end of the call, I got an email saying I was no longer being considered because I didn't have enough experience. I felt like it was a waste of my time because they should have seen from my resume that I didn't have experience in the field. I also think it was unfair to reject me for that reason, especially since the job description said no experience was needed as all training is provided before starting.
- Can you tell me about your social life?
Associate Consultant
So basically, the interview process involves a couple of standard recruitment interviews. First, you'll have a recruitment call where they follow a script. After that, you need to prepare and deliver a presentation to about four of their employees. This presentation is specifically about compliance and risk.
- What are your motivations for pursuing a career in recruitment?
- Could you describe the biggest challenge you've faced or anticipate facing in recruitment?
