Behavioral Presentation

I interviewed with two recruiters and 5 buyers. Communication was fast, but I never heard back about the outcome. I reached out twice with no response, which I found disappointing given the time off I took from my current job. I also noticed that honest reviews from 2020 onwards were removed, many mentioning being overworked and outdated systems. People said the role was more like an Associate Buyer. This wouldn't be a company I'd want to work for anyway.

I got contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter who is a contractor, we had a phone call and they said they'd follow up in a week. A week later, I got another call saying budgets were being reviewed and they'd call back in another week. A whole month went by and HR contacted me again for another phone interview. The contractor had left but left notes to proceed with me. It was a basic phone interview asking about my background and some behavioral questions. The next step was a Skype interview. It took another week or two for the Skype call, where I met the buyers. The next day, an HR business partner called and said they'd be in touch. Then I went to their Plano campus for a two-hour interview with the VP GMM, a buyer, and another HR business partner. They asked the same behavioral questions, and the buyer I would be working with asked more in-depth personal questions, building on what we discussed on the Skype call. HR said I'd hear back the following week. Three weeks and one follow-up email later, I guess I wasn't a good fit. I'm okay with not being the right fit for that specific buyer, but I have plenty of experience for the role and have worked at an Associate level before. It's just really unprofessional to not follow up or at least send a generic rejection email. They've been slow to respond and move at a snail's pace, but I have to move on because of the lack of response.

The interview process was really professional and they gave me a lot of information. I asked about the expectations for the role. I also asked about the management style and what the responsibilities would be. HR was helpful and kept me updated on how things were going.
