Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at JB Hi-Fi.
Customer Service Representative
It was a group interview, which felt pretty casual and not very formal. They seemed more interested in personality than skills. I would have preferred an individual interview because if you didn't speak up, you could get overshadowed by others.
- Could you describe your previous job experiences?
- What makes you want to work for our company?
Customer Service Representative
It was a short, pretty basic interview. They mentioned they would call for references that afternoon but they never did. The questions were all pretty easy and they seemed to just read from the same piece of paper they asked everyone, writing down the answers.
- Tell me about a time you had to handle a difficult customer.
Customer Service Representative
I applied online and got a call within 5-6 days about a group interview with about 10 other participants. We had three rounds of activities. I got the answer within another week or so. It was quite chill and relaxed.
- Can you introduce yourself to the group?
- We were given a product and had to sell it.
