You apply online, then get a call for an interview about a week later. The interview itself is super laid back, almost unprofessional, and didn't feel like a real interview compared to others I've had. After the interview, you likely won't hear back unless you chase them for a response. Even though I felt the interview went well, I had to call them twice for feedback (which I never got) and was told internal staff had already filled the positions, making it a huge waste of time. It was pretty disappointing because I love shopping at JB, but the staff/management seemed like they couldn't care less.

I applied online and got a call 5 days later for a group interview scheduled for Monday. The interview itself was in the back warehouse/storeroom with 2 managers, and there were 8 of us. It felt pretty chill, like hanging out with mates, even though I was nervous. By Friday, the end of the day, we found out if we made it to a second, one-on-one interview. I didn't get through this time, but I'm gonna give it another shot.

So, like, it was a new store opening, right? So there were loads of people applying. The first interview was pretty much just to see what kind of person you are. JB really wants their salespeople to be good at selling psychologically, so they're on the lookout for people who can get that. They figure this out in the first chat by trying to get a feel for your personality.
