First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jazz Pharmaceuticals.
Commercial Director
The interview process was good, and it was thorough. It included short chats with many of the people I'd be working with. There wasn't a formal business case presentation, but each person I spoke with asked about different aspects of the role. Overall, it was a positive experience with really great people and some good, open, challenging discussions.

Senior Manager
Started with a phone screen by HR, then had a first interview with team members. The second interview was with the hiring manager, and the third was with the department lead. Felt good about all of them, especially after the second one since I was excited about the role. After the third interview, I waited a few days, then followed up with HR but got no reply. A few days later, I also reached out to the hiring manager, but again, no response. They ghosted me after I finished the third interview. It would have been nice if they just let me know if they decided to go another way, just as a matter of respect.
- What is your working style like, and what are your professional goals? Also, could you share some details about your background?
Medical Science Liaison
The interview process kicked off with a recruiter phone screen, followed by interviews with two managers. Then, there was a sequence of five separate 45-minute 1:1 interviews. The final stage was a presentation. I gave my availability, noting I'd be out of the country after a specific date, but they scheduled interviews outside this window without mentioning it or asking for alternatives. I spent weeks trying to sort this out with the recruiter and HR, but only got vague updates when I chased them. Even when I left for my trip, the presentation was still scheduled, and I had to contact the hiring managers directly. It ultimately couldn't be rescheduled, and I was removed from the running, even though I communicated my availability upfront. This whole situation was really stressful and made me feel like the recruiter didn't value my time or me.
- Can you share an instance where you got feedback you disagreed with?
Synthetic Organic Chemist
So I interviewed for a temporary gig at the Kent Science Park. It was a three-stage process. First, an HR chat about stuff like salary expectations and why I was looking for a new role. Then, a quick technical chat with some organic chemistry questions, like pKa values and reagents for nitro to amine conversion. Finally, a full hour interview split between the technical team for about 30 minutes, drilling into mechanisms and name reactions, and then another 30 minutes with HR on competency-based stuff. The interviews themselves were fine, but the real kicker was the complete lack of feedback. They said a decision would come before the Christmas holidays, which I was told when I followed up just before they started, got an out-of-office reply. Then, in the new year, they promised feedback the following week, but still nothing. It was super frustrating to be left hanging, especially after all the effort with three interview rounds, plus dealing with the holiday wait. Felt like a total waste of my time and energy.
