The interview process was clear, professional, and efficient. I really enjoyed my first interview, it was very polite. However, the second technical interview didn't really match the job description, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, it was a good process with nice people, but they really needed to be clearer about the specific technical knowledge they were looking for.

Started with an HR phone screen, then a follow-up call with the hiring manager. Both were chill chats with basic questions about the industry, SQL, and the typical 'tell me about yourself'. The on-site was in Denver, meeting 4 different teams (3 local, 1 remote in the UK). The questions were mostly general, focusing on personality fit. The interviewers seemed like decent people, not really adversarial, but also not super enthusiastic about the company, their work, finance markets, or the interview itself. They didn't share any behind-the-scenes reasons, but there seemed to be a lack of clarity and consensus on tech initiatives, which felt like a red flag. I didn't get a clear sense of why they were hiring or what they wanted to achieve. Overall, they were polite and communicative, which is a good thing. But, the whole process took way too long, feeling disorganized, bureaucratic, and a bit disrespectful. Not sure why a good candidate would want to work there.

It was a four part interview. Started with a recruiter phone call, then a hiring manager phone call. Next was an in-person interview which included a presentation, they wanted to see how I'd prepare a presentation with very little notice. The final interview was a lunch with the team I would be joining.
