Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Janney Montgomery Scott.
Intern
The interview process was pretty straightforward. First, there was a 15-minute phone interview, and then a 45-minute main interview. The main part of the interview was mostly about going through my resume. You really need to know your resume inside and out because the hiring manager asked about every single detail from my academic and professional background.
- What made you decide to apply to Janney?
Intern
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. They asked about my strengths and weaknesses and how they'd fit the role. Also asked about a time I faced adversity and how I handled it. And how I'd deal with someone breaking the rules.
- Could you share an instance where you encountered adversity and detail how you navigated through it?
Intern
Got recruited through on-campus recruiting. The first round was on campus in mid-February, and it was pretty easy, mostly behavioral and resume walkthrough questions. The second round was an onsite interview in early to mid-March. I interviewed with two associates and two directors or MDs, and it included both technical and behavioral questions.
- What are your thoughts on the current unemployment rate?
