I had two interviews that were pretty straightforward. The first one focused on my past experience, and the second one was more about my personality. They had set questions where they gave me time to really think through my answers. It was cool that both interviews were virtual.

I had a phone interview with a recruiter first, then a Zoom interview with the hiring manager. Right after the second interview, while I was still on Zoom, they gave me an offer. I asked about salary and benefits, and they said they'd get back to me. This took about a month, and then they told me the role was actually for a more junior candidate and the offer wasn't valid anymore. Their communication was terrible, and I wasted a month thinking I had a job offer.

So I had an in person interview at the Alexandria, VA office, but then I didn't hear back for like three weeks. After that, an HR person emailed me saying they were going in a different direction for the Client Service Associate role and I wasn't being considered. Then they asked if I'd be interested in relocating out of state for the same position. I said I was interested in the out-of-state roles and gave them some dates/times for a phone interview. Two more weeks passed before another HR person finally responded saying those times didn't work for her.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • I was asked for my availability for a phone interview, and after I provided it, I was ignored for two weeks, only to be told that those times weren't suitable.

I applied online and the whole thing took about 3 months. I talked to HR the same week I applied and then met the hiring manager that same week too. After talking to the hiring manager, I thought I'd be moving on. But then, almost 3 months later, they told me they hired someone internal and gave me zero feedback. It was a pretty bad experience, honestly, took forever and wasn't very considerate.
