The whole interview process lasted around two months and was split into three stages. After applying, I received a response from the recruiter within a week. The initial step involved a brief 30-minute introductory call with the recruiter, which felt more like a casual chat than a formal interview. About a week after that, I was sent an assessment. It wasn't overly complex but required some preparation and practice. I appreciated the flexibility to complete it on my own time. Following the assessment, I advanced to the final stage: a panel interview. This was scheduled about 2.5 weeks later due to scheduling conflicts, which gave me additional preparation time. The interview began with a practice call, and one of the interviewers provided a walkthrough beforehand, addressing my questions and easing my nerves. I actually enjoyed the panel interview the most; it was relaxed and conversational. I was initially told I'd hear back by the end of the week, but the recruiter contacted me on Friday to mention the final decision would be communicated early the following week, which it was. Throughout the process, the recruiter was very communicative, answered all my questions, and sent clear, helpful emails. While the scheduling caused a slight delay, I valued the consistent updates. Thanks to Jane, the interview felt much less intimidating.

My recent application to Jane was one of the most frustrating and disorganized recruiting experiences I’ve ever had — and I’ve worked in customer support long enough to know how these processes should run. Communication was abysmal. I often emailed the recruiter - multiple times with no response. On three separate occasions, I had to follow up (even attempting to send LinkedIn messages to no avail) just to get any kind of update. When they finally did reply, I was told someone else would reach out “by the end of the week” — twice — and it never happened. No accountability, no follow-through. The process stretched out over nearly two months with no clear timeline, poor communication, and no support in navigating next steps. I was repeatedly told, “this isn’t the typical experience,” yet nothing was done to correct or improve it. In the end, I didn’t get the role — and honestly, it’s not hard to see why. If the internal communication and coordination around hiring is this broken, I can only imagine how that impacts the actual work environment. If you’re going to claim to be a values-driven, people-focused company, your recruiting process should reflect that. Jane’s does not.

The interview process was really great and everyone was friendly! First, there was a recruiter screen on Zoom, then I had to do a skills assessment, and finally a panel interview, also on Zoom. They were super clear about what to expect and kept me in the loop. After the skills assessment, the recruiter gave me some really helpful feedback to get ready for the panel interview. They asked deep questions about my background and customer service skills. It felt like they genuinely cared about my experience and wanted me to do well. It truly showed what kind of company they are!
