Started with a casual meet and greet with the lead and technical director. Then had a quick chat with HR. Finally, there was a technical interview. The initial chat was laid-back, with the last 30 minutes being verbal technical questions for a general understanding. The technical interview involved a code review and then a feature design question. The interviews were great, respectful, and friendly. However, the HR provided ZERO feedback, even 3 weeks after the final interviews (all interviews happened within 2 weeks). It's standard practice to at least email about rejections or delays, but I didn't even get a response to my follow-up emails. I found this HR behavior unprofessional.

I got an email to confirm an interview, but then nobody showed up on the scheduled date. They didn't even message me to apologize for missing it. About a week later, they scheduled another interview. It felt like nobody really cared about the company.

The recruitment team reached out after I applied, and despite being based in Newcastle, the process was really positive. I had to do a take-home project and some standard Java questions. They flew me down to Cambridge for a half-day onsite where I met with several people. Everyone was really nice. I got an offer while I was on holiday in Italy, and after some negotiation, it was a great offer, but unfortunately, I had to turn it down due to family financial issues. I'd definitely consider Jagex again if things change.
