It was a standard interview. They asked me about my past experiences, what qualities make a good team member, and crucially, about my flexibility. My main worry is that they only offer 0-hour contracts and that the teams are really small.

It was a group interview that took place late in the evening. Most of the 9 other candidates and I wore Jack Wills-style clothing. We were divided into groups and tasked with creating an outfit for men and one for women. Following that, we presented our outfit selections and justified our choices. Next, we were asked to organize a Jack Wills staff party, with the freedom to be as creative as we liked. We presented these party ideas and discussed them as a large group. Finally, I had a very brief (maximum 2 minutes) conversation with the manager where we discussed my availability. It was difficult to gauge how well I performed, as the staff members seemed genuinely interested in everyone.

I interviewed for a brand new store, so there was a massive recruitment drive. Lots of people went for a limited number of jobs. I was in a group interview with six people. It was very informal and the two interviewers were really relaxed, good at making everyone feel comfortable. They didn't seem too bothered about people being a bit late. The interview was mostly about you as a person and if you'd fit the company's image. Heads up! We had to read aloud from a passage about the company's history, which was unexpected. So make sure you're comfortable speaking confidently. It wasn't clear how it related to the job, but it caught some people off guard. Make sure to speak clearly and slowly!
