First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Jack's Family Restaurants.
Assistant Manager
I went through two interviews, one with the area manager and another with general management. When I arrived, I had to fill out a paper application in addition to the online one. I was asked about my previous jobs and my reasons for wanting to work at Jack's. They also explained the pay, benefits, and the requirement of working at least 50 hours weekly. They emphasized that the job is very demanding and necessitates excellent customer service, always being polite.

Cashier
I submitted an online application and then they called to schedule an interview. I attended the interview the same day I got out of school and had to fill out a paper application. I then had a one-on-one with the general manager, who gave me paperwork for a drug test. I completed the drug test and returned the form to Jack's. A few days after submitting the drug test form, I started working.
- Do you pick up new things quickly?
Biscuit Maker
It was a really long process with a pre-employment drug screen too. A lot of questions didn't even have to do with the job. The whole thing felt impersonal, with the management team constantly going back and forth talking to the interviewer. You never knew what was coming next. It was super unorganized; I was told three different dates for my start day during the interview.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
Intern
It was a pretty long interview process, about 5 interviews in total, but everyone on the team was super nice and I got to meet them all. I got feedback really quickly after each stage, which was awesome. HR and I had really good communication throughout.
- What are your current investment ideas?
- Can you describe a past deal you were involved in?
