Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at J.D. Irving.
Intern
The interview process was great and moved quickly. The interviewers were nice and asked straightforward questions. Even though I didn't have direct experience, I'm eligible to apply for CPA, and the benefits are a huge plus.
- Can you describe your background?
- Tell me about your experience.
Intern
I had a video call interview, they were in New York and I was in California. The HR team provided details on how to connect using Jabber. They even offered a test video call if I wanted one, which was really helpful. The interview lasted about 25 minutes, which felt like enough time. They explained what they liked about my profile.
- What sparked your interest in this field?
- Could you share a bit about yourself?
Coop
I applied through the university job board. I did a 20-minute online personality test and then a 1-hour written test. The interview itself was 30 minutes. They mentioned they have good benefits and a family-like team environment. It's a growing company with a lot of continuous improvement efforts, and there are some projects for students.
- Can you tell me about a challenging situation you faced and how you handled it?
