It was pretty straightforward. They got back to me about two weeks after I applied. First, there was a phone chat, then a video call, and then they made me an offer. That was pretty much the whole thing.

The first interview was to gauge how much you can list and handle stress, and if you're able to travel by car. If approved, they'll ask if you'd consider a 1099 role with a different company, and a consultant working with J&B will make an offer. The pay is variable based on experience and not disclosed upfront. If the first option isn't suitable, you proceed to Interview #2 with the company owner, known as 'The Doctor'. This stage involves personality tests and filling out an application, even if you have a resume. Apparently, 'The Doctor' is intimidating, and the IT environment uses outdated equipment and Office 360, likely for cost savings. In this second interview, 'The Doctor' won't have your resume or have read it, so you'll need to detail your work history. The office space is cramped with small desks, only allowing for single monitors due to the limited space. The Doctor's own equipment is also low-end. Be ready for a strong Indian accent. It's unclear if they were genuinely hiring, and the initial offer from the consultant might have been the only real opportunity. This felt like a bait-and-switch tactic.

First, HR had me do some computer tests. Three were personality tests, which I thought were pretty silly. The other two tested my IT knowledge, asking basic stuff about IT concepts. After that, I talked to the IT team, and they asked about my experience and my current job. Then, I met with the owner. He asked a few questions and then made me a job offer. I couldn't accept because they couldn't match my salary and benefits. Overall, it was a good experience.

When I got to the interview, I overheard some really unprofessional conversations in the waiting area between the receptionist and other staff. Even though it's a secure place that needs a receptionist to let people in (to follow HIPAA rules), she was talking to another employee about how she had too many patient accounts to handle. I should've just left then.
