First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at iVenture Solutions.
Help Desk Technician
It was pretty chill, the people were nice. They would keep probing on some technical questions if they thought I was close to the right answer, which made me a bit anxious when I was guessing, but they did a good job of leading me. I think they were just checking my knowledge and logic, so don't sweat it if you don't know everything.

Help Desk Technician
So I had a pretty good time interviewing with iVenture, I'm still kinda new to IT stuff since I just graduated college. My interview felt like the most challenging I've ever had, but it's probably standard for Help Desk roles. It's a three-part process: first, a quick call with a recruiter, then a video interview with a help desk manager and some other team leads, and finally, an in-person interview with two panels. Two panels made me a little nervous, but it was all pretty standard stuff. The video call wasn't too hard; they asked technical questions and some about customer service and troubleshooting. I felt good about the technical stuff because I explained my thinking, and for the parts I wasn't sure about, I admitted it but explained what I did know, which the hiring manager said was fine. They stressed that learning technical skills is easy, but good communication and customer service skills are way harder to pick up. The in-person interview had two panels, each with about three people. They asked more technical questions and dug into my background. Even though talking to so many people at once was a bit intimidating, I had a bunch of questions ready that got good, open-ended answers. It was great talking to my potential boss, leads from other teams, and HR. I'm glad for the panel interview because it gave me a lot to think about and I learned a ton about the company and its people, more than I have from other places. The whole thing, from the first call to getting an offer, took only 4 days, which was super fast compared to other interviews in 2019. Hope this helps others!
- What steps would you take first to troubleshoot a user's network connectivity issue where they can access the LAN but not the internet?
- Can you describe your familiarity with Active Directory services as found in Windows Server 2012?
Help Desk Technician
The interview process started with an initial 45-minute screening call with HR focused on basic qualifications. This was followed by a technical interview conducted over Skype. The final stage was an onsite interview, which involved two sessions with a total of three managers who asked in-depth technical questions. I've only given a negative review because of how one interviewer acted, seeming kind of insulting. They claim to foster a learning, enriching, and friendly culture, but the interview didn't reflect that at all. After seeing the employees looking pretty unhappy during the tour, I feel like I avoided a bad situation, even though the company gets good reviews elsewhere.
- Could you explain why you didn't obtain the education or certifications that were available to you?
- When faced with diagnosing a problem, can you walk me through your process for X, Y, and Z?
