First, they looked at my resume to see if I had the right stuff. Then, we had a quick phone call to see if I could talk well and if I'd fit in. After that, there were a few interviews, either in person or online, to check out my skills and if I'd be a good match for the team. They also gave me some tests or tasks to see what I could really do. They talked to my references to get a feel for how I worked before. Finally, they decided who they wanted or offered me the job.

The recruiter reached out on LinkedIn. We had an initial phone screen that was behavioral and about culture fit. Then, I was given an online test to complete within the deadline. I was invited for an onsite interview scheduled for a later date. However, about half an hour before the interview, while I was on my way to their office, I received an email stating it needed to be rescheduled and they would contact me later. They never followed up with an apology or to reschedule. I found out the position was still open and they had somehow missed scheduling my interview. This was a complete waste of my time and resources. It seemed really unprofessional and says a lot about their work culture and hiring practices. After I told them I'd review my experience on Glassdoor, they extended a last-minute invitation for an onsite interview, which I ignored. If you have tons of free time and like being ignored, you could apply here.

Applied online and heard back quickly to set up an initial phone screen. Talked with the project manager, covering company basics and OOPS concepts. Was told there were two roles, development or support, depending on my interview. Went to their Redwood office for the next steps, but the process was disorganized. Learned the development role was filled and it was only for the support position. First was another chat with the project manager about company stuff and general conduct. Then a technical interview with a senior engineer that was quite negative. The interviewer seemed set on disagreeing with me, criticizing my past experience and responding dismissively to my answers, focusing more on showing off his knowledge than assessing me. After an hour of tough questioning, there was a final round with basic entry-level questions, which felt like a formality as they'd likely already decided.
