It was a pretty standard interview process where they wanted to hear about my past and current work experiences that fit the role. They went through my resume in order, and I explained what I did and what I accomplished in each of my past positions.

Interviewed with 5 different Engineers from the company, which lasted about 2 hours total. Questions covered my experience, hobbies, and some basic engineering problems. The whole process took about two weeks to get an answer, during which I also had to complete a drug screen and provide info for credit/background checks. It was a pretty normal job process with some challenging questions.

The interview was initially over the phone and seemed promising, lasting about 30 minutes. I had applied for a field technical support role for Volcan products, but the company was looking for someone in the Midwest, and I preferred a position in Charlotte. After a second phone interview with the HR representative for that region, I was informed that the position was being phased into 3D design. Since I lacked experience in this area, the representative no longer considered me for the role.

  • Can you describe your experience and knowledge with 3D drawings and plans?
