The hiring process involved multiple rounds, and after successfully completing them, HR assured me an offer letter would be issued. However, I experienced a significant delay of about 1–1.5 months with only vague promises and no real progress updates. Ultimately, HR became unresponsive, and there was no formal conclusion to the process. This experience highlights unprofessional HR conduct, misleading assurances about an offer, prolonged waiting periods with a complete lack of communication, and a general disregard for the candidate's time.

The interviewer started by asking me to talk about myself. Then, they went through my resume and asked about everything mentioned there, mostly focusing on projects and internships. They asked what I did in my projects, which frameworks I used, and why I chose them. Since I used authentication and authorization in my project, they asked for the difference between these two concepts. They also asked about SQL Server since I used MongoDB in my project. After that, they inquired about my internship experience and the value I brought to the company. Finally, I was given a chance to ask them questions before the interview concluded.

I think Itron really needs to look at how they train their technical interviewers. They are the first impression for candidates, and it matters for the experience and hiring. My first technical interview was good. The questions were relevant to the job description and my skills, which felt fair. But the second technical interview was not good. The questions were way off from the job description, and the interviewer was confusing. Even though I answered correctly and had proof, I got rejected. This makes me wonder if the interviewer was biased.
