First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ITRI.
Intern
I had a one-on-one interview with the department/laboratory manager over an online platform. They asked several questions about my resume and research project from grad school. They weren't too hard, mostly checking if I could explain concepts clearly and precisely.
- Regarding your project, could you specify the interatomic potential you selected, and elaborate on why you chose it and its advantages?
Intern
It was an easy interview if you're from a good university, with HR and the Manager. The questions were general, not specific to the work topic. Depending on the department you applied for, the questions would relate to that topic and your major.
- Could you tell me what you know about 5G and Terahertz imaging?
Intern
The online interview will need you to prep slides. It'll start with you introducing yourself, then move into a Q&A. I've done online interviews before and have slides, a portfolio, etc. It should take about 30 minutes.
- Tell me about your relevant work experience. How many years do you have?
- Are you planning on going to grad school after you graduate?
